Garrett v. WHC Worldwide, LLC

Scroll to case documents Date Filed: 05/05/2025 Status:

In May 2025, DRA filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a group of wheelchair users against nationwide airport transportation provider SuperShuttle for failing to provide services to wheelchair users. Read the complaint.

SuperShuttle advertises itself as “the leader in airport transportation serving over 70 airport locations worldwide.” While SuperShuttle purports to provide reservations with local operators “who offer accessible vehicles to customers with disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs,” when attempting to book transportation, the plaintiffs were repeatedly told by SuperShuttle’s representatives that, in fact, the company offered no options for individuals who require a wheelchair accessible vehicle (“WAV”).

DRA filed this case to end SuperShuttle’s discriminatory policies and ensure that people with mobility disabilities have equal access to the company’s important transportation services. Plaintiffs are not seeking monetary damages on behalf of the class.

On March 12, 2026 the Court preliminarily approved a class settlement in this case. Under the settlement agreement, SuperShuttle customers who use a wheelchair that requires a WAV for transportation will have access to SuperShuttle’s services with the same convenience and at the same cost as customers who do not require a WAV. Read the Court’s order and read the proposed settlement.

If you (1) have a mobility disability as the result of which you use a wheelchair that requires a wheelchair accessible vehicle; and (2) have arranged to use, attempted to arrange to use, or were deterred from using the services of SuperShuttle to arrange for transportation to and from airports and other locations since May 5, 2023, you are a member of the proposed settlement class in this lawsuit. See the class notice for more information.
