Michele Lee is a dedicated advocate for disability rights and accessibility.

Michele’s professional background spans both corporate and nonprofit sectors, where she has consistently championed disability rights.  Recently, she has held roles as the Head of Accessibility Strategy and Business Development at a leading autonomous vehicle company and Director of Employment Programs at a national nonprofit serving people with disabilities. She has founded and led employee resource groups for people with disabilities. Michele’s commitment to accessibility is deeply personal, as she has used a power wheelchair for almost twenty years following a spinal cord injury from a motor vehicle crash.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona and is a DisabilityLead fellow. Michele is based in Chicago. She is a previous board member at Access Living, Chicago’s center for independent living. Currently, she serves on the board of trustees for the Consumer Technology Association Foundation and the board of directors at the Chicago Transit Authority.

Michele’s work is driven by a passion for creating an equitable and accessible future.
