A Conversation with Jennifer Reddien
Jennifer Reddien has spent much of her career pursuing inclusion and opportunity efforts. Jennifer’s background, personal experiences, and passion for equity and inclusion make her an invaluable leader as Venable’s chief inclusion and opportunity officer.
Jennifer works closely with firm leadership to develop and implement firmwide inclusion and opportunity strategies and initiatives. In expanding these initiatives, she also monitors their progress and holds the firm accountable for results.
In addition, Jennifer’s role includes advocacy, training, and consulting, as well as serving as a key firm representative both internally and externally. She also stresses education by training attorneys on topics like implicit bias and serving on outside panels.
Previously, Jennifer served as director of DEI at the global law firm Haynes and Boone. She was also executive director of the nonprofit Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms. Jennifer spent many years as a litigation lawyer and co-chaired the Diversity Task Force at one of her previous firms.
Jennifer serves on the advisory board for the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession and is a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals, Inc. She was listed in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching and recognized in D CEO‘s Dallas 500 Directory. Jennifer has presented at conferences and seminars, including the Association of Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting, the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, and D CEO‘s Diversity, Inclusion, and Impact Symposium.
Jennifer received a B.A. from Duke University, a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
