James Ian is an actor, model, singer, songwriter, writer, and poet. He has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (“SMA”) Type 3, and is a passionate advocate for authentic representation of disabled artists in music, TV, film, and other media. He is the singer and primary songwriter of “SPACES,” which is a first-of-its-kind song that highlights those living with SMA. He has performed at many events and venues, including the White House in 2024, the Closing Ceremony of the Special Olympics, and the Lincoln Center.
