Erin Gallagher joined Disability Rights Advocates in 2021 as a Staff Attorney and became a Senior Staff Attorney in 2023. Prior to joining Disability Rights Advocates, Ms. Gallagher was a Staff Attorney at A Better Childhood where she litigated civil rights class actions seeking to reform state child welfare systems on behalf of children in foster care. In addition, Ms. Gallagher spent the first three years of her career as a litigation associate in the New York office of an international law firm before clerking for the Honorable Joan M. Azrack of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Ms. Gallagher received her J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law in 2015, and her B.A. in Math and History from Tufts University in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Gallagher was a Senior Executive Editor for the Journal of International Law and Politics and a member of the inaugural class of the Reproductive Justice Clinic.
