Emily Roznowski joined Disability Rights Advocates as a Staff Attorney in 2023. Prior to joining DRA, Ms. Roznowski was an Assistant Attorney General in the Disability Rights Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General of Illinois, where she investigated claims of disability discrimination across the State. She also developed a disability rights amicus practice within the office and filed several briefs in support of a broad interpretation of state public accommodations law. Ms. Roznowski previously worked as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid Chicago, the largest provider of civil legal services in Illinois. In this role, she defended low-income tenants and tenants with disabilities against eviction and litigated affirmative fair housing claims. Ms. Roznowski also clerked for Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During law school, she interned at Equip for Equality, the protection and advocacy agency for the State of Illinois.

Ms. Roznowski received her J.D. magna cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and her B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago.
