Barb went to Harvard Law School, has practiced law at Wilson Sonsini and Jenner & Block, held several C-level positions in startups backed by top VCs, such as Sequoia Capital, and served as an external advisor for a number of successful technology companies.  

Barb served as GC of AdMob, the pioneer in mobile advertising, and successfully led them through the FTC’s antitrust second review of the company’s acquisition by Google.  She was also GC and Chief Privacy Officer of Flurry, the then-leading analytics and ad tech company, which was subsequently acquired by Yahoo.  And as Managing Director of Intel Capital, she served on the company’s investment committee and led multi-billion dollar international investments.

As an external advisor, Barb has worked with leading gaming, enterprise software, messaging, media, and OTT companies to guide them through the ever-changing regulatory environment they must navigate as they rapidly grow both in terms users and revenue.  She has also played a critical role in their exits; her work has helped drive successful acquisitions by Yahoo, Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn as well as IPOs.    

Barb has also served on self-regulatory committees in the advertising industry and as a member of trust and safety boards.
