Closed Captioning at Movie Theaters
Disability Rights Advocates is investigating complaints from people who are deaf or have hearing loss, regarding the frequent failure of closed-caption devices at movie theaters. DRA has received complaints that, while many theaters have closed-caption devices on hand, the devices frequently do not function properly.
If you are deaf or have hearing loss and have recently encountered problems when attempting to use closed-captioning devices at a movie theater, we would greatly appreciate speaking with you. To share your experiences, please contact Jess Miller-Suchet at DRA by email at jmiller-suchet@dralegal.org by phone at (510) 665-8644.
