Richard Lui is a Peabody and Murrow award-winning journalist, anchor, and filmmaker with more than 30 years across media, technology, and business.

A veteran anchor at NBC News, MSNBC, CNN Worldwide, and Channel NewsAsia, he spent a decade traveling every other week from New York to California to care for his parents as they faced Alzheimer’s/dementia.

That experience led him to direct two Oscar-qualifying documentaries on caregiving and mental health, with two more films now in production: To the Moon, on elected officials who are caregivers, and Dr. Hope, on Dr. David Ho’s HIV/AIDS breakthrough that has saved more than 30 million lives to date.

A patented fintech entrepreneur, he also leads initiatives in the care economy including CAREGenome AI and the Caregiving Moonshot, and serves as an AARP Caregiving Champion and Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Champion.
