Shane Burcaw is the author of three award-winning books about living with a disability. His humorous memoirs have been celebrated by the American Library Association, The Today Show, Publisher’s Weekly, and more. Shane co-founded Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. in 2012, which has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in adaptive equipment to people living with muscular dystrophy diseases. He and his fiancée, Hannah Aylward, are the duo behind Squirmy and Grubs, a YouTube channel that offers a behind-the-scenes look at their interabled relationship. Shane is also an accomplished public speaker, having performed at hundreds of venues across the country, from elementary schools to Harvard University and everything in between. Shane lives in Minneapolis with Hannah and their labradoodle, Chloe.
