Hillary Brooks joined Disability Rights Advocates as Controller in late 2023. Prior to that position, Hillary served for five years as Associate Director at Power California, an organization working to advance a state progressive policy agenda via electoral movement building and statewide organizing of young voters of color. Her other nonprofit management work includes a five-year stint as Finance and Operations Director at feminist of color organization Forward Together, an interim co-directorship at Berkeley’s David Brower Center, and work as a consultant to nonprofit organizations.

With three decades of experience in powering social justice movement infrastructure for sustainability and impact, Hillary is thrilled to bring that expertise to bear as part of DRA’s legal work to expand civil rights for disabied people.
