Pat Kirkpatrick

Position: Fundraising Consultant
Board of Directors, East Coast Advisory Board

Pat has spent the last 30 years providing her outstanding leadership and fundraising skills to a wide variety of lucky nonprofit organizations. A member of DRA’s founding team, Pat served as DRA’s Development Director for more than 15 years—raising millions of dollars to support a variety of critical initiatives including a capital campaign enabling DRA to purchase their own offices in downtown Berkeley.  Most recently, Pat has led the charge in raising $1.4 million dollars to support establishing DRA’s Wolinsky Fellowship program in perpetuity.

Prior to her work at DRA, Pat served as Board Chair for Whirlwind Wheelchair and founded and managed a catering business that is still thriving today: Essence of Thyme and Cravings.  Essence of Thyme provides excellent food while providing vocational training for people with developmental and other disabilities. In addition to DRA, Pat currently serves as a volunteer Travel Coordinator for Golden Gate Audubon Society and volunteers for Ashby Village, an organization that allows elderly Bay Area residents to remain in their own homes as they age.

Pat has her Master’s degree in teaching English as a second/foreign language and taught English writing and literature at UC Berkeley and UC Berkeley Extension for several years.
