Position: Director of Finance
A composer and pianist, Adrienne Torf joined Disability Rights Advocates in September 2017 with over ten years’ experience overseeing finance and operations in nonprofit organizations.
Adrienne grew to appreciate the importance of access for people with disabilities as the child of a parent with acute hearing loss. That consciousness deepened during years of touring with singer Holly Near and sign language interpreter Susan Freundlich, all of whose performances were accessible to people with mobility, hearing and vision disabilities.
Adrienne previously served as CFO/COO at Rockwood Leadership Institute, Jewish Family & Community Services-East Bay, and Junior Statesman Foundation, and as Director of Budgets for Rubicon Programs. During the dot-com boom, she worked in technology services and online learning companies. She is currently on the boards of the Laura Flanders Show and the Institute for Musical Arts.
Adrienne earned her undergraduate degree at Smith College and Stanford University, and her MBA at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.« Back to All Staff
