Chariot transportation service
Disability Rights Advocates is investigating a new transportation service offered in San Francisco: Chariot. Chariot, touting itself as “mass transit reinvented,” uses brand new 14-passenger vans, which you can book and pay for your seat using a smartphone app. Chariot offers fixed routes throughout San Francisco with assigned pickup/drop-off stops. Currently, Chariot only operates publicly available vans in City of San Francisco.
DRA is investigating complaints that none of Chariot’s vans are wheelchair accessible. If you (1) use a wheelchair; (2) reside in and/or work in and/or travel around San Francisco, and (3) are interested in using Chariot, we would like to talk to you about your experiences.
