Celano v. Marriott

Scroll to case documents Marriot Adds Accessible Golf Carts for Players with Mobility Disabilities Status:

In 2008, the Court ordered Marriott International, Inc. to provide accessible golf carts at all of its golf facilities nationwide. Accessible golf carts, also known as single-rider carts, are used by individuals with mobility impairments. The carts are operated with hand controls and have seats that swivel to get the golfer into a hitting position. As a result of this settlement, people with mobility disabilities now have the opportunity to participate in this sport and recreational activity. DRA and Co-counsel Chavez & Gertler, represented the plaintiffs in this landmark case that will set a precedent for golf courses nationwide.
