Amazon.com Structured Negotiations

Scroll to case documents Internet Retail Giant Amazon.com Makes Its Website Accessible Status:

DRA reached a settlement through structured negotiations with Amazon.com on behalf of the National Federation of the Blind. Under the settlement, Amazon.com agreed to make its website, as well as several affiliated websites, fully accessible to people with disabilities who use assistive technology to read and navigate internet websites.

This was a monumental achievement for people disabilities who use screen reader software, and among the first such settlements with a major internet retailer to address web access barriers.  As part of Amazon’s pledge to ensure accessibility, it created an Accessibility Committee to assure that accessibility remains a priority even as new Internet technology is developed.

DRA co-counseled this matter with Dan Goldstein of the law firm Brown Goldstein Levy.
